Where is the top, and how do we stay there? While filming our documentary, Bringing Home Hollywood, I have come to realize, “the top” is non-existent, but the bottom is all too real. Along my journey through the camera eye, everyday, Hollywood is loosing the talent that once entertained us weekly on television. That talent is now being forced to work construction to pay the bills. An awesome set artist for hit shows is now changing careers…It is scary Hollywood, I really hope we are able to complete this documentary on time because through this camera eye, there is not much left…

My journey this week brought me to the top of the Rainbow Room, with legends of the rock stage and the porn industry. An awesome clash of young budding Hollywood and the ever-generous “Old Hollywood.” They all love to look out for each other, and maybe find that one collaborative project that will revive or jumpstart the next wave to the top. Because like a wave, rushing to the shore, the top is magnificent, but it is not long before that glorious wave is just another drop in the ocean, looking for the next crest.

Please Hollywood, do not let these legends fade or make the new talent move to Winnipeg.
